Kingsbarn Golf Links Scorecard

Located just a short distance from the world-famous town of St Andrews, Kingsbarns Golf Links is a modern classic that offers golfers a truly authentic Scottish links experience. Opened in 2000, this course was designed by renowned architect Kyle Phillips, and it quickly became a favourite among golf enthusiasts worldwide for its combination of challenging holes and breathtaking scenery.

Although the current layout of Kingsbarns was built in the late 1990s, golf has been played here since 1793, when the Kingsbarns Golfing Society was formed. Over the centuries, the course evolved, and after a long period of disuse, the area was redeveloped, resulting in the course as it is today.

The 18-hole, par-72 course stretches over 6,624 metres (7,224 yards) and is laid out in a crescent shape along the stunning coastline of Fife. The course offers sweeping views of the North Sea from every hole, with six of the holes hugging the water’s edge, ensuring a captivating experience for golfers at every turn. It’s a course that challenges both the strategy and skill of golfers, with its cleverly placed hazards, natural dunes, and links design that changes with the wind.

Kingsbarns has earned a global reputation for hosting the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, an iconic European Tour event held annually since 2001. Played across three stunning courses – Kingsbarns, the Old Course at St Andrews, and Carnoustie – it draws both professional and amateur players. The course also made history by hosting the Ricoh Women’s British Open in 2017, with South Korea’s In-Kyung Kim taking the title.

The modern clubhouse offers stunning views of the course and the sea, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind after a round. With a selection of dining options, a fully stocked pro shop, and a patio overlooking the 18th green, it’s an ideal setting for golfers to enjoy their experience.

For golfers looking to sharpen their skills, Kingsbarns features a comprehensive golf academy, with everything from driving ranges to putting greens and personalised coaching. The world-class facilities make it the perfect place for golfers to improve their game while surrounded by some of the most spectacular coastal views in Scotland.

Kingsbarns Golf Links is a place where the rich history of Scottish golf meets modern design, offering an unforgettable experience for golfers of all levels. Whether you’re participating in one of the world’s top tournaments or simply enjoying a round with friends, this course guarantees a memorable experience.
